Welcome to Kastkaar ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your
privacy and handling your data securely. This policy explains what information we collect,
how we use it, and the choices you have, when you use the Kastkaar mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Profile information: your name, phone number, state, district, village
and the crops you grow — provided by you when you set up your profile.
Location: approximate and precise location, used to show local weather
and nearby mandi (market) prices. Used only while the app is in use; never in the background.
Photos: images you choose to upload — for sharing in the Chaupal community
and for crop-disease diagnosis (Crop Doctor).
Usage & diagnostics: anonymous interaction events and crash logs that
help us improve the app (via PostHog analytics and Sentry crash reporting).
Notification token: a device push token so we can send you price and
weather alerts.
Voice input you use to fill forms is transcribed by your device/operating system and is
not stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide core features — mandi prices, weather, crop advisory, schemes and community.
To personalize content such as price and weather alerts for your crops and district.
To show advertisements via Google AdMob.
To maintain the security, reliability and quality of the app.
3. Advertisements
We serve ads using Google AdMob. Google may use a device advertising identifier to show
relevant ads. Learn more at

4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Data is processed by trusted service providers
that power the app — Supabase (secure database & authentication), Google AdMob (ads),
PostHog (analytics) and Sentry (crash reporting) — solely to operate Kastkaar. All data is
transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
In the app: Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes
your profile, posts, scans and activity, and signs you out.
By email: write to
support@kastkaar.com and we will delete your
data within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Kastkaar is intended for adult farmers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not
knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the
"Last updated" date above.
